What do the service levels mean?

Our service levels are determined by the demand on a stylist’s time and their experience. The higher the level, the higher the demand for that stylist’s time.

Does the length of my hair affect the price of my service?

Yes, the length and thickness of hair varies from client to client, which can call for more time, product, and expertise from the stylist working on your hair. Reach out to your stylist to discuss your desired look to get an accurate estimate for the service you need.

What are your salon’s hours?

We are open on Tuesdays through Thursdays from 8am to 7pm, Fridays from 8am to 5pm, and Saturdays from 9am to 4pm. We are closed Sundays and Mondays, and are currently by appointment only. Please reach out to schedule your appointment!

How does the pricing for services work?

Pricing ranges from stylist to stylist and what end-goal you have in mind for your hair and service. Check out our service list and starting prices on our Services Page.

Does a trim cost the same as a haircut?

Yes it does. This is because regardless of the length our stylists are cutting, your hair is being cut by a talented and experienced stylist who is devoting their attention and time to ensuring your hair is healthy and looking its best.

How much time should I set aside for my appointment?

Please consult with your stylist before your appointment, or when you schedule. Appointment duration time varies depending on the service you’re getting as well as the length and thickness of your hair.

Why do stylists recommend professional products? What is the difference between those products and the ones I can buy in a store?

If you're investigating hair care and looking for ways to keep your hair healthy and beautiful, you’ll want to invest in great at-home care! Our stylists use top-of-the-line products to ensure your hair is healthy, and we sell those same products to you so you can continue your hair’s upkeep in between appointments. We recommend professional products over store-bought products because there are many brands and products that have ingredients that can damage your hair, dry it out, or cause your color to fade dramatically.

How often do color services need to be refreshed?

On average, we recommend refreshing your color every 6 to 8 weeks. However, you might need to refresh your color more often, depending on the color service you received, the health of your hair, how quickly your hair grows, and the amount of effort you put into upkeep. Consult with your stylist to get a personalized color treatment plan in place!

How often should I wash my hair?

Typically, our stylists recommend washing your hair every 3 to 5 days. Many people still wash their hair daily, which we strongly advise against because it strips not only your color from your hair, but makes it difficult for your scalp to produce the natural oils your hair desperately needs to stay healthy and shining!

Why is my hair oily or dry?

Hair issues are common, and because everyone’s hair is different, there are a number of factors that could be contributing to an oily scalp or dry locks. Your hair’s health is affected by the type of hair you have (thin, thick, wavy, straight, curly, etc.), its thickness and length, and other genetic factors. In addition, the products you use and your care regimen make a big difference on your hair’s appearance. Consult with your stylist to get a more accurate idea of your hair’s needs, products you should use, and how to care for your hair like an expert!

Which drugstore products do you recommend?

None! Many drugstore products can get stale after living on the shelves for a long time, and there are a lot of choices with ingredients that can damage your hair or strip your color. Our salon products get shipped in weekly from our service providers and are top-of-the-line to ensure that your at-home hair care is as good as it is in the salon.

How do I train my hair to go longer in between washes?

In short, we recommend you let your hair do its thing and thrive! Your first step is to stop washing as often; the oils from your scalp are good for your hair, and you will notice dramatic changes in the long run. If you need to control your hair’s oil production, we recommend investing in a high-quality dry shampoo. Of course, we also recommend working with your stylist to determine a routine specific to your hair needs and goals.
